Current and upcoming road closures for SW Port St Blvd
Port St. Lucie, Fl -Here are some current and upcoming road closures from the Florida Department of Transportation as part of the SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard widening project, from south of SW Alcantarra Boulevard to south of SW Darwin Boulevard:
Pay attention because even on a Sunday there is traffic.
SW Liberty Avenue at SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard is closed around-the-clock through approximately 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 for drainage pipe installation across the roadway.
Detours: Northbound and southbound SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard to eastbound SW Liberty Avenue will be detoured via westbound SW Alcantarra Boulevard to southbound SW Pisano Street to eastbound SW Liberty Avenue. Eastbound SW Liberty Avenue motorists will be detoured via northbound SW Pisano Avenue and eastbound SW Alcantarra Boulevard to SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, Southwest Tunis Avenue at Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed around-the-clock through approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 for drainage work across the roadway. Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 will be used as contingency dates, if needed.
Detours: Northbound and southbound SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard to eastbound SW Tunis Avenue will be detoured to eastbound SW Rice Avenue/SW Chartwell Street to westbound SW Tunis Avenue. Westbound SW Tunis Avenue motorists will be detoured to southbound SW Chartwell Street/SW Rice Avenue to SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard. The entrance on SW Tunis Avenue to Darwin Square will remain open.
