Vehicle in fatal Indian River County hit and run identified
Indian River, Fl- FHP has identified the vehicle from a fatal hit and run in Indian River County.
According to FHP, they seized a 2013 white Jeep Wrangler registered to Giuseppina Gazzara, a Vero Beach resident, that they believe was involved in Saturday’s hit and run.
They say 23-year-old Michele Gazzara was driving the Jeep at the time of the crash.
FHP located the vehicle after using surveillance video near the crash. Then they narrowed possible suspect vehicles down to a white 2007 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
The crash in question occurred around 4:00 a.m. Sept. 1 on 12th Street.
The Wrangler they found at the Vero Beach residence had damage consistent with the crash and was missing its right front wheel fender, they say.
According to FHP, a white front wheel fender was found at the scene of the crash.
