FPUA Is Working With Other Municipal Utilities To Restore Natural Gas
FORT PIERCE, FL., December 13, 2015 – FPUA is working hard to restore natural gas to its customers following a low pressure issue Saturday afternoon. Neighboring municipal utilities- Clearwater and Leesburg – are lending assistance to help FPUA restore natural gas as quickly and safely as possible. The outage area is north of Georgia Ave., west of 33rd St. and affects approximately 2000 customers.
In order to re-pressurize the system, FPUA must lock down all natural gas meters. FPUA will need access to these meters and is asking your assistance to please unlock gates and pin up your pets. Once the system is pressurized FPUA and partnering utilities will go door to door turning the system back on for your premise.
FPUA will keep the public updated as more information becomes available. If you smell gas leave the premise immediately and call FPUA at 466-1600 to report a problem.
