The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Rides Into the Fort Pierce Library Oct. 17
FORT PIERCE – Watch an early Halloween animated classic as the Fort Pierce Branch Library presents Disney’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” (1949) as part of its Movie Matinee on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. Following the movie, participants will have the chance to make a Halloween-themed craft.
Featuring the voice of Bing Crosby, this animated classic is set in a small town as a brewing rivalry between the local tough guy and a schoolteacher culminates in a terrifying ride in the night. Rated G, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” has a running time of 34 minutes. Best suited for ages 5-10, moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket and refreshments will be provided.
Parents are also reminded to stop by the Fort Pierce Library every Wednesday (Pre-K Jamboree) and Friday (Toddler Time) at 10:30 a.m. for storytimes, along with Family Storytime on the first Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m. and Puppet Theater on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
