SCORE Business Workshops Return to Lakewood Park Library
FORT PIERCE – Members of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) will conduct four free business workshops for October. Participants can attend one or all four, depending on their interests.
- Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. – How to Start a Small Business, covering start up fundamentals, marketing planning, business structure, capital, credit and more.
- Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. – An Excellent Business Plan, focusing on financial schedules and how to create a business and marketing plan.
- Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. – Marketing Your Business, analyzing how to assess your marketplace, understanding your competition, targeting your customers and establishing a marketing budget.
- Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. – Understanding Florida Sales & Uses Taxes, focusing on Reseller’s Certificate and procedures for collecting and filling taxes.
These workshops are free and open to everyone. Presentations at the library of any specific idea, strategy, financial plan or investment do not constitute an endorsement.
