The Stuart Police are investigating the beating of a homeless man.
They received a call at 11:40 this morning regarding a homeless male that was found with serious injuries. The caller stated that she went to check on her friend in a wooded area of the 3800 block of SE Federal Highway. She stated that the victim appeared to have been beaten and that he needed medical assistance.
The male was flown by helicopter to Lawnwood Trauma Center in Fort Pierce.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time
Police have arrested 31-year-old Patrick James Finnegan and charged him with aggravated battery.
