The city hosted an event called Port Fest to celebrate the opening of the Port District and Pioneer Park. The grand opening event was a fun-filled way for attendees to experience Pioneer Park for themselves and be the first to play on the children’s playground. The fun event featured a free concert, a retro band, food trucks, and a dance party.

Port St. Lucie Pioneer Park Play Areas

The playground has 41,2000 square feet of fun areas to explore. The park has ten distinct play areas for children, including the North Fork Walk, Pioneer Perch, Swing and Swirl Slough, Banyan Basin, Backwater Blackboard, Peacock Playhouse, Sailaway Schooner, Harmony Hideaway, Lazy Log Secret Stroll, and the Gator Gulch.

The water feature is open all week from 9 AM to dusk. The park is also built among trees and greenery, so there is shade for visitors who want to stay cool in the Florida sun.
