A massive manhunt for a suspect with a Treasure Coast connection has ended.
Monroe County authorities say 25-year old Timothy Thomas was captured Sunday night following a shootout with authorities.
Thomas was wanted in connection to a robbery at a home in Key West.
Reports say a Monroe County Deputy was shot in the chest but suffered only minor injuries due to wearing a bullet proof vest.
Thomas is the same suspect wanted in Martin County for fleeing and eluding.
A few weeks back, Thomas was stopped along SR-714 in Palm City but then took off at speeds of more than 100-miles per hour.
