Sergeant-Gary-Morales-Killed in the line of duty
Jury selection is underway following a judge’s ruling to deny a motion to delay the trial of Eriese Tisdale.
Tisdale is accused of shooting and killing St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Gary Morales in February, 2013.
Tisdale, who admitted to killing Morales, faces the death penalty if convicted.
His attorneys argued for more time. Prosecutors argued it’s time for justice.
Circuit Judge Dan Vaughan denied the request for more time.
