Free kayaking event at McCarty Ranch ends Parks & Recreation Month
Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation invites you to celebrate the end of Parks & Recreation Month with a free kayaking event at McCarty Ranch Preserve on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pre-registration is required for your free one-hour kayaking experience on the lake. Each trip will start at the top of the hour. Ten people can reserve a spot per hour.
Kayaks and life jackets will be provided. The kayaks can seat two people. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children may use kayaks alone if they can demonstrate competency in doing so.
The kayaks will launch on Lake John, the largest of the three lakes located at McCarty Ranch. The lakes are named after the three McCarty brothers: John, Dan and Brian.
