Fort Pierce Police Department
At approximately 8:05 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015, Fort Pierce Police officers responded to a report of shooting activity in the 500 block of N. 12th Street.
officers arrived they found Johnny Wilkerson, 50, of Fort Pierce, at 513 N. 12th Street. He had been struck once in the hip area. Wilkerson provided limited details before being transported to a local hospital for treatment. He in stable condition.
During the investigation, officers found multiple casings in the driveway and in the 500 block of N. 12th Street. Stray bullets struck an apartment and an unoccupied pickup truck parked in the driveway.
Fort Pierce Police officers and detective were unable to locate any witnesses to the shooting throughout the initial investigation. They returned today, Monday, October 12, 2015, to the neighborhood in hope of finding witnesses.
There is no suspect information available. The investigation is ongoing.
