CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

MARTIN COUNTY

Kanner Highway / State Road 76 from Lost River Road to south of Monterey Road

The speed limit on Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Indian Street has been reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Martin County High School may be closed intermittently Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work and roadway widening.
One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Cove Road may be closed intermittently Sunday through Friday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge work.
The sidewalk along the east side of Kanner Highway just south of the high school will be intermittently impacted Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with flagmen holding pedestrian traffic so construction vehicles can enter and exit the pond area.
The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway from Pomeroy Street to South River Drive may be closed intermittently for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.
Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, May 19, southbound Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be narrowed to one lane through 6 a.m. Monday, May 22 for drainage work. During this time, southbound traffic along Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be diverted to the inside median using a temporary travel lane.
The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be closed from 12 p.m. Friday, May 19 through 5 p.m. Friday, May 26 for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.

I-95 Interchange at Kanner Highway (State Road 76 / Exit 101)
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for road work.
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway may be closed Sunday through Thursday nights between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction.

3.      State Road 710 / Warfield Boulevard from east of Kanner Highway (State Road 76) to the Martin / Palm Beach County Line
Traffic Impact:
One lane in either direction of SR 710 will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May 26 for barrier wall installation. A flag crew will direct two-way traffic.
Beginning the week of May 15, preparations will be underway for shifting State Road 710 traffic from two lanes to one lane in both directions. The transitions will be located on both the north and south ends of the project and the speed limit on State Road 710 at the south transition area will be reduced from 60 MPH to 45 MPH.

Details of each transition are as follows:
Traffic in both directions of State Road 710 just south of Kanner Highway will be narrowed to one lane in each direction, with southbound traffic diverted through the median to the existing inside northbound travel lane.
Traffic in both directions of State Road 710 just north of the Palm Beach County Line will be narrowed to one lane in each direction, with northbound traffic diverted through the median to the existing inside southbound travel lane.

4.      I-95 / Martin Highway (State Road 714) Interchange Landscape Improvements

Traffic Impact:
The shoulders at the I-95 / Martin Highway interchange may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through fall 2017.

5.      I-95 Resurfacing Project from Indiantown Road to Bridge Road

Traffic Impact:
All lanes are open through Friday, May 19.

NE Causeway Boulevard from Indian River Drive to State Road A1A in Jensen Beach

Traffic Impact:
The right turn lane from westbound NE Causeway Boulevard to northbound Indian River Drive will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through October.
The sidewalk along the north side of NW Causeway Boulevard is closed for building construction through October. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.

Jensen Beach Boulevard from NE West Court to Savannah Road in Jensen Beach
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of Jensen Beach Boulevard will be closed Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for maintenance work.

8.      Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard in Stuart
Traffic Impact:
Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard will undergo a full closure Friday, May 19 at 6 p.m. though Sunday, May 21 at 11 p.m. for the annual Stuart Sailfish Regatta. Motorists heading eastbound should detour via Sewall’s Point Road to Indian River Drive to Causeway Boulevard to A1A. Motorists heading westbound should detour via A1A to Causeway Blvd to Indian River Drive to Sewall’s Point Road.

Kanner Highway from Central Parkway to Hancock Street
Traffic Impact:
One southbound lane of Kanner Highway will be closed Monday between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. for maintenance work.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY

State Road 70 / Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road Intersection in Fort Pierce

One lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from I-95 to Kerr Street may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work.
One lane in either direction of Jenkins Road to the north & south of the Okeechobee Road intersection may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
The sidewalk on the north side of Okeechobee Road from Peters Road to McNeil Road is closed through spring 2017. Pedestrians may cross at the signalized intersections at Peters Road & McNeil Road.

Indrio Road Widening Project in Fort Pierce

Cost/Completion: $23.9 million. Completion in spring 2019.
Traffic Impact:
The speed limit on Indrio Road between I-95 and Emerson Avenue has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Indrio Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Johnston Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Emerson Avenue may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Spanish Lakes Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for construction. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
I-95 Bridge Deck Replacement Project at Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road
Description: The I-95 bridge deck replacement project over Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road includes: removing & replacing the bridge decks on I-95 over Gatlin Boulevard and CR-712/Midway Road; milling and resurfacing approaches to bridge decks; and re-striping approaches to bridge decks.
Cost/Completion: $8.2 million. Completion in fall 2017.
Traffic Impact:
The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Gatlin Boulevard are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Midway Road are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
Traffic on Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the north or south Sunday through Saturday nights between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for overhead bridge work.
One lane in each direction of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.
The sidewalk on either side of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 may be closed intermittently Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Only one side will be closed at a time and detour signs will be in place to direct pedestrians.
One lane in each direction of Midway Road at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.
One lane in either direction of I-95 at Midway Road will be closed Wednesday and Thursday nights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to remove the temporary barrier wall. Only one lane will be open in each direction.
Midway Road Widening Project from S. 25th Street to U.S. 1
Description: This 1.8-mile project includes: reconstructing the existing two-lane Midway Road to a four-lane, divided highway with a raised median; installing a new signal at Sunrise Boulevard; constructing a new bridge over the North Fork St. Lucie River; constructing a 6-foot sidewalk on the north side and a 12-foot multi-purpose trail on the south side Midway Road; constructing 4-foot bike lanes on both sides of the roadway; reconstruction of S. 25th Street approximately 1000’ to the south & north of Midway Road; reconstruction of Sunrise Boulevard from W. 1st Street to Charlotta Street; reconstruction of Oleander Avenue from W. 2nd Street to Merritt Ditch; drainage improvements, including constructing 6 retention ponds at 5 locations; and signage, signalization, and lighting improvements.
Cost/Completion: $26.8 million. Completion in spring 2020.

One lane in either direction of Midway Road from 25th Street to U.S. 1 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Oleander Avenue from W. 1st Street to north of Midway Road will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Sunrise Boulevard from W. 1st Street to Augusta Street will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of 25th Street north and south of Midway Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
The inside turn lane of northbound U.S. 1 to westbound Midway Road is closed around-the-clock for widening.
The inside turn lane of southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Midway Road is closed around-the-clock for widening.

North 25th Street from St. Lucie Boulevard (County Road 608) to U.S. 1.

Traffic Impact:
The outside lane in each direction of 25th Street from U.S. 1 to Industrial Avenue Three is closed around-the-clock through May.
One lane in each direction of 25th Street from Industrial Avenue Three to St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May.
The sidewalk along 25th Street from U.S. 1 to St. Lucie Boulevard may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 at 25th Street may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May.
The right turn lane from southbound U.S. 1 to 25th Street is closed around-the-clock through May for curb work. Motorists turning right onto 25th Street should use the outside through lane of U.S. 1.

U.S. 1 from Virginia Avenue to Ohio Avenue in Fort Pierce
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through August 25 for median work and install mast arms.

Port St. Lucie Boulevard from Floresta Drive to Allen Street in Port St. Lucie
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of Port St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Sunday between 1 p.m. and 12 a.m. for drainage work.
One lane in either direction of Port St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Monday through Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage and maintenance work.

25th Street between Covenant Drive and Edwards Road in Ft. Pierce
Traffic Impact:
One southbound lane of 25th Street will be closed Monday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for maintenance work.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

I-95 (SR 9) from just north of State Road 60 (Osceola Boulevard/Exit 147) at Vero Beach to the Indian River/Brevard County Line

Traffic Impact:
Motorists should be alert for slow moving construction vehicles entering and leaving the travel lanes.
The speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph in the work zone.
One lane in each direction of I-95 may be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction activities.
Southbound I-95 traffic from MM 156.5 to MM 155.8 is shifted to the new section of the CR-512 Bridge.
Northbound I-95 traffic is shifted to the southbound lanes from MM 154 to MM 154.8.
Southbound I-95 traffic is shifted over to the northbound lanes from MM 156 to end of project at MM 160 through May 17.
Northbound I-95 traffic is shifted slightly toward the median lanes between MM 148 and MM 149.
The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from County Road 512 is shifted slightly to the east.

Central Railroad Corridor Greenway (CRCG) Pedestrian Overpass

Traffic Impact:
All lanes are open through Friday, May 19.

State Road 60 & 90th Avenue Intersection in Vero Beach
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of State Road 60 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median and utility work.
One lane in either direction of 90th Avenue may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median and utility work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
