DOES RACE AFFECT HEALTH?

The public is invited to a special presentation and discussion exploring the issue of racism and its impact on public health. This topic is the third in a series exploring the definitions of racism and how it manifests in communities. The forum is scheduled for Friday, November 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Ground Floor Farm, 100 SE Martin Luther King Boulevard, Stuart.
Panelists include Liza Breslaw, Certified Midwife/Martin Health System, Dr. Anita Cocoves, licensed clinical psychologist, Martin County/Community Services Division and Karlette Peck, Health Officer/Florida Department of Health in Martin County.
The forum, co-sponsored by the Florida Department of Health and Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, will feature a panel discussion followed by small group discussions where participants can share thoughts and personal experiences. A light dinner will be served.
