DEPUTIES ARREST COCOA ROBBERY SUSPECTS
At approximately 11:00 A.M. on July 19, 2015, Deputies responded to the area of Virginia Avenue in the unincorporated area of Cocoa in reference to the report of an armed robbery with a firearm.
The victims were a 51 -year-old male and 32-year-old female, who reported that two white male suspects, later identified as 30-year-old Daryl Brigman, 25-year-old David Solway both of Cocoa, approached their vehicle with a gun and demanded money. A struggle ensued and the suspect’s gun discharged and did not strike anyone. The suspects then physically battered the male victim and left the area in a red Nissan SUV.
The suspect vehicle crashed into a nearby home causing minimal damage and then fled on foot where one suspect crawled under a residence in an attempt to conceal his location and the other fled on foot.
Deputies located Brigman a short time later where he was taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded and assisted in apprehending Solway from under the residence.
Brigman was charged with Robbery with a firearm and Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. It should be noted Brigman was out on bond from a previous arrest.
Soloway was arrested and charged with Robbery with a firearm, Aggravated Battery with a firearm and Shooting into an occupied vehicle. Additionally, Soloway had an active warrant for arrest for Failure to Appear.
Both Brigman and Soloway are being held in the Brevard County Jail without Bond.
