The St. Lucie Mets will hold their 3rd annual Youth Baseball Clinic at the stadium on Saturday, January 14th. The clinic will run from noon-2 p.m. and is for kids age 7-13.
A $10 donation to participate will be collected for each participant, which goes directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. Each participant will receive two tickets to the St. Lucie County Fair (February 24 through March 5). The clinic is limited to the first 200 children who sign up. The 2017 spring training schedule will feature the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins, Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves visiting Port St. Lucie. For the full schedule visit www.stluciemets.com.
Spring Training games are played from February 25th through March 28th. The St. Lucie Mets play in the Florida State League from April until September. They are the Advanced-A affiliate of the New York Mets. They have won the Florida State League Championship five times (1988, 1996, 1998, 2003, and 2006).
