WPB water chlorine flush begins Monday
On Monday, the city will begin annual routine maintenance of the water system. For the next month, until August 14th, you may notice a slight chlorine taste or smell in the water.
It doesn’t pose any health risks, and you can get rid of the chlorine taste if you keep water in the fridge for a few hours before drinking.
If you use the water for medical purposes or in fish tanks you may want to double check before using it.
BTW…the county is also doing this in the county water system during the same time.
