The City of Fort Pierce and CareerSource Research Coast Host Joint Job Fair

FORT PIERCE, FL – The City of Fort Pierce and CareerSource Research Coast have teamed up to provide a job fair event to help kick off hiring in our local area after the New Year. The Fort Pierce Job Fair will be held on January 14, 2016 at Percy Peak Gymnasium located at 2902 Avenue D from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

With limited space, employers interested in marketing their job openings to career seekers are encouraged to register today. Registration is open for any for profit businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations who have open and available jobs now.

“CareerSource Research Coast is excited to partner with the City of Fort Pierce and provide this hiring event for our businesses and career seekers,” said Marcelo Dossantos, Director of Business Services. “As we begin our tourism season, this is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their company and for career seekers to network on a larger scale.”

All registered employers will receive one 6-foot table, two chairs and lunch for two attendees. There is no cost to register, however, space is limited and provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Employers who are youth (16+) friendly as well as have veteran preference will be noted as such.

“We are very excited to partner with Career Source Research Coast for this job fair and are hopeful this will evolve into an annual event,” explained Linda Hudson, Mayor of the City of Fort Pierce.

CareerSource Research Coast also encourages all career seekers to begin preparing for the event now. Career seekers interested in attending the event are urged to contact CareerSource Research Coast for pre-registration and a thorough review of their resume and interviewing skills. For career seekers who do not have a resume, CareerSource Research Coast can help them develop one. Career seekers should also make sure they dress in business professional attire and find alternate arrangements for children.
