The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the local Chick-fil-A, say they wrapped up a successful seatbelt awareness operation at local high schools.
The Sheriff’s Office traffic division set up at Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School, and South Fork High School, completing random seatbelt checks.
Students who were wearing their seatbelts as they drove in, were rewarded with a voucher for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich.
1000 Chick-fil-A vouchers were given to students who were properly buckled up as they drove in.
35-students were not wearing seatbelts, given verbal warnings and denied that chicken sandwich.
