St. Lucie County Library Seeks Authors for Second Annual Book Fair March 12, 2016
- LUCIE COUNTY – Calling all authors! The St. Lucie County Library System is seeking authors to participate in the second annual Book Fair slated for Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Last year’s event drew more than 45 Treasure Coast authors who set up tables at the Fort Pierce and Morningside Branch Libraries, promoting their books, including memoirs, novels, poetry, children’s stories and everything in between.
The event is free and open to the public.
Designed to showcase the talent of local writers, authors can be self-published or have a commercial publishing deal. Participants will be able to talk one-on-one with the authors, purchase books and have them signed.
Interested authors must complete and submit an application packet, containing a completed form, a copy of the writer’s driver’s license and a copy of a printed book or a link to any e-book intended for sale. Preference will be given to authors who did not participate in the 2015 Book Fair. Authors who did participate in last year’s fair will be accommodated on a space-available basis.
Entry packets must be submitted to the library by Tuesday, Dec. 15. Packets can be delivered to any St. Lucie County Branch Library or mailed to Program Coordinator Sheila Small, Fort Pierce Branch Library, 101 Melody Lane, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.
The St. Lucie County Library staff will review all entries and send a follow-up letter or email confirmation by Dec. 31. An author whose work is not selected may appeal to the Library Manager for a review.
