Martin County School District to host school bus driver job fair
Stuart, FL – The Martin County School District will host a school bus driver job fair on Wednesday, June 24 from 8am to 2pm at the District Transportation Facility, 2845 SE Dixie Hwy, Stuart.
Transportation staff will be available to give an overview of the position and speak with applicants. Pay is $13.78 per hour with flexible schedules and training provided. Applicant qualifications include:
- 21 years of age or older
- Pass fingerprinting, background checks and clean driving record
- Be able to get CDL permit with airbrake, passenger and school bus endorsements
- Be physically capable of safely operating a motor vehicle
- Must read, speak and write in English language
- Be able to pass an annual physical exam and meet all requirements mandated by law
- Knowledge of traffic laws as they pertain to loading and unloading of students
- Skill in guiding student conduct
