Port St. Lucie Renaissance Charter School Being Investigated

School-11

Renaissance Charter School at Tradition is being investigated because a child was given lollipops by a female teacher to give her massages on more than one occasion. The child was also pulled out of class to give the teacher a neck rub.

Allegedly a young girl was taken into an empty classroom by a female teacher. The teacher said her students had given her a headache and that she needed a massage. The young girl gave the teacher a neck and back massage and was then she sent back to her class.

Parents contacted the school and were told the teacher was suspended for two days during the investigation and then the investigation was over.

Parents of the young girl posted her experience on Facebook and were contacted by other parents whose children had been giving massages for lollipops.

Port St. Lucie police confirmed it  is currently an open investigation but said it is unclear at this time whether anything actually criminal occurred.

No arrests have been made at this time.
