Port St. Lucie Police
Port St. Lucie police officer, Michael Harding, was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday evening by Department of Homeland Security agents. The arrest stems from a child porn investigation.
Harding will face a judge this morning in federal Court.
He is accused of using Kik messenger to post two images of a preteen female engaging in a sex act and exposing herself on a couch. There were more pictures posted a week later. He is also accused of using the Kik messenger chat room to post a sexually explicit video of a young girl engaged in a sex act.
Two thumb drives recovered from Hardings home had hundreds of images and videos of children engaged in sexual acts and one had images of Harding and bondage photos of prepubescent girls.
Harding was Fort Pierce Police Officer of the year in 2011 and joined the Port Saint Lucie Police Department in 2012.
