Officials from Palm Beach County, South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Palm Beach County League of Cities and the City of West Palm Beach will be holding a ceremony to celebrate LagoonFest on the West Palm Beach waterfront. LagoonFest will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. next to the West Palm Beach Greenmarket on South Flagler Drive along the downtown waterfront.
The speaking portion begins at 11:00 at the west end of the central dock at the West Palm Waterfront. The expected speakers include Palm Beach County Mayor Shelley Vana, West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio, Palm Beach County Commissioner Paulette Burdick, South Florida Water Management District Governing Board Member Melanie Peterson, Riviera Beach Council Chair Pro Tem Dawn Pardo and Florida Department of Environmental Protection Assistant Director of the Southeast District Jennifer Smith.
