A shout out to new St Lucie County fire Chief Buddy Emerson.
Emerson was chosen by the fire board earlier this year to replace outgoing chief Ron Parrish. Parrish is retiring on Sept. 30.
Emerson joined the St. Lucie County Fire District in February, 1992.
He has served as Fire Marshal since 2005.
He was officially sworn in last Wednesday.
