It has been confirmed that the man barricaded in a Jupiter home in the 100 block of Cat Rock Lane has been taken into custody without incident.
The man, Cyrus W. Ahyoung, is a 50-year-old weapons “marksman”.
Deputies said this started as a domestic incident involving Ahyoung, a woman and two children. The woman and children were able to leave the home Sunday afternoon and went to the Police Department.
Ahyoung was wanted by police for several outstanding charges, and barricaded himself in a Jupiter Abacoa neighborhood home on Cat Rock Lane on Sunday afternoon. The home belonged to the woman who left with her two children. No information on the relationship between Ahyoung and the woman and children.
Ahyoung was heavily armed and has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of false imprisonment of a child, two counts of aggravated child abuse, one count of false imprisonment and one count of domestic battery.
Palm Beach Gardens police and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue also assisted on the scene
