Arrested
What started out as a joke ended up backfiring in a big way for one local man.
35-year old Steven Smith thought he would be funny by taking a cell phone picture of a Martin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detective during a traffic stop.
Smith posted the photos to Facebook, but what he didn’t expect was that the detectives also took a photo of him. When the detectives took a closer look at the photo they took, they realized that they recognized Smith. It turns out he was wanted on a warrant for violation of probation.
After some research deputies tracked down his address, and he was arrested.
