Indian River Medical Center
Surgeries are canceled through today and ambulances have been turned away at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
The hospital’s main air conditioning system is broken. The temperature in some areas has gotten near 90-degrees.
Representatives for the hospital say a break in the main water line is causing the problem.
Emergency heart patients are being moved to hospitals as far away as St Mary’s in West Palm Beach.
