FPUA – Update On Restoration Efforts

FORT PIERCE, FL., December 17, 2015 – FPUA wants to update the media and customers regarding the restoration efforts.

Today TECO supplied an additional 18 employees to assist and we now have 60 working in the field to restore natural gas in the affected areas. We have posted on our website the restoration percentage. We post new numbers as the crews finish their area and submit work orders back to staff. Calling Customer Service does not expedite the process and may hinder those with emergencies.

We are moving as quickly and safely as possible and understand it could not be quick enough. Please help the crews by being available to give the crews access to your meter and appliances.

If you smell gas, leave the premise immediately and call FPUA at 466-1600 and 911 to report a problem.
