At approximately 7:26am Tuesday, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a drowning call in Spanish Lakes Country Club. When they arrived, deputies found a man floating in a lake behind a residence on Vista De Laguna.
Sheriff Ken Mascara said “all evidence indicates the drowning was the result of a suicide.”
The deceased is 93 year old Henry Vandermolen, a resident of the community. Next of kin has been notified.
