Dedication for Gold Star Memorial Monument

Engraving on the first panel of the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument has been completed by craftsmen at Real Stone & Granite in Ft. Pierce.  The monument consists of 4-panels and their base.  When completed the monument will be dedicated to the Gold Star Families.
“I am honored and humbled to be part of this incredible project,” said Jose Ubilla, Founder of Real Stone & Granite.  “The design is gorgeous and includes a lot of detail.  We are working very hard to complete the monument on time.”
The dedication ceremony is planned for September 25, 2016 at 3pm.  It will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Parkway in Port St. Lucie.  Special guests will include US Marine H.W. Woody Williams, the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from Iwo Jima.
The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument is sponsored by the Marine Corps League Jack Ivy Det. 666 of Port St. Lucie, the Vietnam Veterans of America, Michael F. Bradley Chapter 566 of St. Lucie County, and the United Veterans of St. Lucie County, Inc. and other veterans’ organizations within St. Lucie County.
