The parks and boat ramps under the causeways in Martin County will be closed to the public for a triathlon this weekend.
The Hutchinson Island Half Iron Triathlon begins at the south end of the Jensen Beach Public Beach Parking Lot and will take place on Sunday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The cycling portion of the event will temporarily close the Jensen Beach Causeway Park and boat ramp on Sunday from 6 a.m. until noon, and the East Island Park and boat ramp under the Stuart Causeway from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Vehicles and trailers under the bridge at the time of the closure will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The Causeways will remain open to traffic throughout the weekend, but will be subject to heavy traffic controls
