The annual Food From Fans night once again has stepped up to the plate to help House of Hope’s food pantries.
With a donation of two cans of food, fans can receive a free ticket to the game between the St. Lucie Mets and the Bradenton Marauders, 6:30 p.m. June 25, 2015, at Tradition Field, 525 NW Peacock Blvd, Port Saint Lucie.
Thrivent Financial Community of the Treasure Coast sponsors the event and has a goal to raise 4,000 pounds of food for House of Hope. That’s the equivalent of nearly 3,300 meals.
Past years’ Food From Fans nights raised the following amounts:
- 2014: House of Hope received 1,085 pounds of food on a rainy evening.
- 2013: House of Hope and Treasure Coast Food Bank shared the food donations, with House of Hope receiving 1,800 pounds.
- 2012: House of Hope and Mustard Seed Ministries shared the food donations, with House of Hope receiving 1,027 pounds.
