Area Regional Transit Seeking Local Artists To Help Decorate Buses
- LUCIE COUNTY – St. Lucie County’s public transportation system, Area Regional Transit (ART), is announcing a Call to Artists. In partnership with the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, Area Regional Transit invites local artists to submit images of their artwork for display on the exterior of the county buses. If you previously were chosen to receive a stipend for this ongoing project, you are not eligible to submit artwork.
To apply, individuals must submit the following materials by Saturday, March 12 at 11:30 p.m. (EST):
- Up to three (3) images of completed work and details;
- Resume including the name of the artwork;
- Brief description of images – no more than 200 words.
This opportunity is designed with a youth preference. At least 50% of the available buses will feature artwork created by community members aged 18 or younger with parental consent.
