PSLPD investigating fatal crash involving a pedestrian
Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-The Port St. Lucie Police is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.
On February 8, 2022, at approximately 7:52 p.m., Port St. Lucie Police officers responded to the 200 Blk. of NW Bayshore Blvd in reference to a vehicle striking a pedestrian.
Preliminary investigation revealed that 24-year-old Juan Pablo Napoles Calzadilla was struck while in the roadway by a vehicle traveling southbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was transported by St. Lucie County Fire Rescue for medical evaluation and released. The driver did not suffer any serious injury from the crash.
At this time, it does not appear that there was any wrongdoing on the part of the driver.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
