Wendy’s investigates potential data breach.
Krebs on security reports that Wendy’s, the nationwide chain, is investigating claims of a credit card breach at some their locations.
Their spokesman, Bob Bertini, said that the company had been receiving reports earlier this month.
Mr Bertini said that “Reports indicate that fraudulent charges may have occurred elsewhere after the cards were legitimately used at some of our restaurants. “ They hired cybersecurity and launched a comprehensive investigation.
The rest of the details are sketchy and they don’t want to speculate.
To be honest with you I had no idea you could even use a credit card at Wendy’s.
