A Vero Beach man is free on bond following his arrest on drug related charges.
Lawmen carried out a search warrant on a house on 44th place in Vero Beach Tuesday.
According to the report, 57 year old Clinton Pottinger saw them coming and took off out the back door, went through a hole in the fence to a neighbor’s yard and beyond. He was caught and arrested.
Investigators say they saw Pottinger drop a grocery bag while fleeing. In the bag, lawmen say they found marijuana and a further check revealed a canvas bag with more of the stuff.
Among the charges; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Pottinger was booked and subsequently released on $18,000 bond.
