The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was notified early this morning that 15-year old Kierra Medina (right photo) was located by Boynton Beach Police. Medina was injured after she reportedly was in an area where a drug transaction was taking place. When the transaction turned bad and she was trying to flee, Medina was run over by the same car she arrived in…. She was taken to a local hospital and remains in intensive care.
The second teenager, Destiny Souza, was in the same vehicle with Medina. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, left Medina at the scene, and took off with Souza in the car. The initial investigation has revealed that neither girl was being held against their will.
Detectives later received information that Destiny Souza was dropped off at a motel in Lantana. Late this morning, detectives entered that motel and found her unharmed. Both teenagers are in protective custody. This case is still ongoing at this time.
