International Ocean Film Festival at FAU Harbor Branch

Stars Over St. Lucie
Stars Over St. Lucie transforms Fort Pierce’s Marina Square into a vibrant riverside celebration. This free, family-friendly event features food vendors, community booths, and live entertainment with a patriotic atmosphere. A giant American flag is presented along the waterfront, setting the stage for the evening’s grand finale. The night ends with a professional fireworks show that lights up downtown Fort Pierce, offering great views along the Indian River. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the show comfortably.
Freedomfest Port St. Lucie
Freedomfest is one of the area’s largest Independence Day celebrations. Hosted at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, the event includes live music, a DJ, food trucks, and fun family competitions like eating contests. The evening ends with a fireworks display choreographed to music, which can be heard on local radio stations. You can also swing by Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens every other Wednesday from 6:30–9:30 p.m. for Jazz Jams or visit Downtown Fort Pierce on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for The Jazz Market.
Families will love a Free Concert in the Park. Visit Riverview Park in Sebastian on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, the Art District of Vero Beach offers a Gallery Stroll on the 1st Friday of each month from 5:00–8:00 p.m. You can also visit the Vero Beach Museum of Art on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Museum Studios.
Downtown Fort Pierce features an Art Walk on the 3rd Friday of the month from 5:00–8:00 p.m., and Vero Beach Museum of Art has plenty of activities as well. Museum Stories at The Art Zone take place on Wednesdays from 9:30–10:30 a.m. for children 0–24 months.
On Wednesdays from 10:30–11:30 a.m., children ages 2–4 years can enjoy these museum stories. They’re also offering “Second Saturdays” with free admission from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Check out the Green Market on Wednesdays at Marina Square in Fort Pierce from 12:00–6:00 p.m. and the Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers Market on Saturdays at Marina Square from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Vero Beach Farmers Market is open on Saturdays at Humiston Park from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., and there’s also the Pelican Island Audubon Native Plant Sale every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00–11:00 a.m.

Campus Immersion Tours at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute run Tuesday to Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and Indian River Lagoon Boat Tours (also at Harbor Branch) run on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., along with the Ocean Exploration Tour on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:00–2:30 p.m.
There’s also a Behind the Scenes Tour on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce, starting at 2:00 p.m. Marine Science in the Morning runs on Wednesdays (dates vary) at the St. Lucie County Aquarium in Fort Pierce at 9:00 a.m.
