SLC Firefighters battled multiple fires today.
Crews were on scene of a residential structure fire in the 400 block of N. 15th St., Fort Pierce. The call came in at 3:38 pm. Fire was in the attic area. Firefighters had to use the K12 cutting tool to expose the fire to be extinguished. The fire was out at 4:34. Cause of fire is unknown and under investigation. The home was unoccupied.
Crews were also at the scene of a fire at 6120 Glades Cut off. A pile of debris inside a sorting facility at the St. Lucie county landfill was smoldering.
