An historic shipwreck salvage team has announced another big find.
Queens Jewels, LLC, says it has recovered over 350 gold coins from the 1715 Treasure Fleet. The coins are worth $4.5 million.
The centerpieces of the find are nine coins known as Royals. They were made specifically for King Phillip V of Spain. They’re worth $300K apiece.
The salvage team found the gold in six feet of water off the coast of Vero Beach.
