A robbery suspect is in custody this morning.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says 20 year old Thomas Baldwin of Fort Lauderdale was caught after a manhunt.
Deputies say a 67-year-old Palm City man was walking to his car when he was attacked and robbed along Mapp Road.
According to the sheriff’s office the suspect walked past the victim, circled back and attacked the man from behind. The suspect ripped a gold chain from the victim’s neck then took off.
Baldwin was captured and charged later.
The victim was treated on scene for abrasions.
