Lottery Ticket and Cash Owner
It took more than eight weeks, but the rightful owner of an envelope full of cash and lottery tickets was found.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says an honest citizen found the hundreds of dollars cash and tickets stuck to the bottom of a grocery cart.
On Monday, Michael Morgan of Jensen Beach arrived to pick up his lost tickets and cash.
So how did officials know it was Morgan’s envelop? He plays the same numbers every time. The numbers matched the tickets inside the package.
Morgan said he has been out of town for several weeks, and didn’t realize he lost his lottery envelope, until a friend told him about the massive social media search to find the owner.
