PSLPD investigating two smash and grab business burglaries.

On August 1, 2017 at around 5:30 am, Port St. Lucie Police went to the Cumberland Farms located at 1548 SE Floresta Drive. It was reported there was a burglary. Once on scene officers noticed that the front door window of the business was smashed.

During the investigation police viewed video surveillance. It showed the suspect entering the parking lot in an older White Chevrolet Impala (1995-2005 model).  Two suspects exited the car and approached the Cumberland Farms.  Suspect 1 used what looks to be a sledge hammer to smash the glass to the front door.

While inside the store suspect 1 attempted to gain access to the ATM but was unsuccessful.  Suspect 2 jumped over the check-out counter, grabbed a trash can, then loaded it up with cigarettes, lighters, and miscellaneous candy bars.
