PSL Walmart TV Thief in Custody

This guy  shop with Cop new meaning!

A man who tried to walk out of a Port St Lucie Walmart with a big screen TV without paying for it is now in jail after an extraordinary amount of bad timing.

The man is accused of attempting to use the five-finger discount at the same time that the store was filled with police officers, doing some Christmas shopping for kids.

Police say James Walsh tried to walk out of Walmart with a 58-inch television on Monday without paying for it.

An asset protection officer with Walmart initially stopped Walsh as he left the store.

Walsh took off running, but unfortunately for him deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office were at the store for a shop-with-a-cop event.

Several ran after him, and had him in custody in no time. Police say that Walsh admitted to stealing a TV at the same store the day before.

He’s been charged with grand theft, resisting merchant, and resisting officer without violence.
