There does not appear to be any sign of forced entry into the building, and our initial suspicions have been confirmed that an acceleant of some type was poured onto the door and then lit on fire. The type of accelerant is still under investigation.
They we have only received 8 tips. That is disheartening. Regardless of your personal beliefs, a crime was committed and the person responsible needs to be identified and brought to justice. Please, review the photos and video and come forward with any information.
Through the assistance of the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, we are making a $5,000 reward available to anyone who provides information that leads us to an arrest. Tips can be provided on our website or by calling 772-462-3230 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS.
This concludes the on-scene investigation. Additional analysis of evidence collected will take place over the next several days along with follow up to any tips we receive.
