The Port St. Lucie Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying BASS PRO SHOP burglar.
On Monday, January 2, 2017 at around 2:40 am, Port St. Lucie Police went to 2250 SW Gatlin Boulevard, BASS PRO SHOP, for reports of an active burglary alarm. Once on scene officers found the sliding glass doors to the business smashed out.
Video surveillance from BASS PRO SHOP revealed that a single suspect walked from the south east parking lot of the neighboring business, Home Depot. The suspect approached BASS PRO SHOP then used what looks like a baseball bat to smash the sliding glass doors to gain entry. Once inside, the male suspect went to the gun section of the store and took two rifles and an unknown amount of ammunition. The suspect then leaves the store and heads back toward the Home Depot parking lot.
The suspect is described as a male wearing red and black flannel style jacket, blue jeans, tan/brown boots with white soles. The suspect’s face was covered with a white bandana and he was wearing a black hat.
Police are asking if you have any information on this case to call the Port St. Lucie Police Department at (772) 871-5001 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273 TIPS.
