PSL Police arrest father and son on multiple charges
Port St. Lucie, Fl- Jesus Luis Diaz of PSL has been arrested and is facing the following charges: Carrying Concealed Weapon/ Firearm, Possession of Ammo by Convicted Felon, Fleeing and Eluding police, Resisting Officer without violence, and Violation of Probation.
On 5/24/2019 at around 01:04 am, K-9 Police officer initiated a traffic stop at SW Beard and SW California Blvd after observing the driver of a silver BMW run a stop sign. Police activated the lights and siren, however the driver continued to drive. The driver came to a stop and immediately bailed out running across SW Ember Street. Police resources were called to the scene to assist with the apprehension of the driver.
During the investigation, police located a loaded Kimber Micro Carry .380 pistol on the driver side door of the car. In addition, police located a wallet that had been dropped by the driver as he fled the area (containing his Driver’s License). The driver was later located at his home address; identified as Jesus Luis Diaz.
Additionally, the father, 63-Year-old Rafael Luis Diaz was also arrested and charged with obstruction for providing police numerous conflicting statements during the course of the investigation/ search and apprehension of his son (Jesus Luis Diaz)
