A couple from Port St. Lucie is accused of sexually abusing a young relative for years.
Police have charged Rob and Marie Johnson with two counts of sexual battery.
The victim is now 21 years old and is living in Indiana, but moved to Port St Lucie to live with her mother’s cousin after her mother died in Colorado. She told police the two abused her from when she was 13 until she turned 18.
The victim told investigators that within the first week of moving to the home the couple told her she’d have to have sex with them to become part of the family. She also claims the couple did not allow her to go to school or use the phone.
The Department of Children and Families is now heading up the investigation.
