Plenty of severe weather experienced on the Treasure Coast Tuesday.
In Port St Lucie there was plenty of lightening and thunder and that had St Lucie County firefighters busy.
A house in the 600 block of SW Carter Avenue was struck by lightning and that resulted in a fire. No one was hurt and the Red Cross was contacted to assist 4 adults from the residence. That’s becoming an all too common occurrence in one particular neighborhood, where this is the 4th house to be struck by lightning in the past five years.
Also, a transformer was hit by lightning at 1025 SW Janette Ave and there were two minor brushfires.
