FORT PIERCE – Florida Department of Transportation crews will be demolishing the restrooms at White City Park Feb. 1-12 to make room for the new park access entrance as a result of the Midway Road widening and bridge project.
Temporarily, Port-e-lets will be made available while plans to replace the restrooms with a permanent facility take place. The bathroom replacement project’s estimated completion date is February 2017.
Located at 2081 W. Midway Road, White City Park features 17 acres of Spanish-moss laden oaks and palms that make up this “old Florida” landscape. Managed by St. Lucie County’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities, the park also offers boat ramps, fishing piers, pavilions, picnic tables, outdoor grills, and a playground with access to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River.
